The Nursery

For all those who are hundreds of miles away and might not get the chance to see it in person...

12 Days Old ~ 7 lbs ~ 21 inches

Dedicated to the Lord

In the bible, Jewish baby boys were brought to the temple on the eighth day to be circumcised and presented to the Lord. And so, this being Jadon's eighth day, Kate and I have prayerfully dedicated Him to the Lord:

freely from You Lord we have received this baby boy

freely we give him into Your arms

not that he was ever ours to begin with

he is Your Son on whom You have placed Your calling

God may Your purposes and plan be accomplished in His life

and may we never get in the way of that

but always encourage, establish, and equip Him in Your ways

may He grow up knowing You and Your Jesus through his life in our home

may He grow to love and honor You all the days of his life

may He fall in love with Jesus just as we his mom and dad have

and may He forever recognize his own life as being dedicated to you Lord

in Jesus' name we pray ~ Amen!

Adorable Afternoon Photo

All snuggle wuggled up close to mommy after a good afternoon feeding. He hasn't quite figured out how to suck on his thumb yet but he seems to settle nicely on the rest of his hand.

3 Ways to Know Your Son is Nursing Well

While being changed, and in a moment of "freedom" he decides to urinate

1. All over daddy's pants
2. All over daddy's shirt
3. And even reach his gottee

Our Little Pirate

Jadon is so funny ~ every now and then he'll open only one eye like a little pirate - AAARRR! So we sing to him the Veggie Tales Song "The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything". Here are the lyrics so you can sing along

Sleepy Sleepy...

Wakey Wakey...

We haven't posted many pictures of our little man being awake, so we wanted to post one as soon as we could. And here's our little Jadon, content on the changing table, sucking every finger he can fit in his lilttle mouth.

Grandma Came Over Last Night

Grandma came over last night; made us homemade chinese food, brought fresh strawberries, and even did the dishes (rock on!).

Jadon's First PROCEEDURE: Praise Report

Jadon had his first check up with his pediatrician today and things went really well. He's gaining weight and doing good. He even had his first little procedure done to him today and did so well. He was born tongue tied and needed to have the little piece of skin between his tongue and the floor of this mouth snipped so that he could move his tongue with a little more freedom. So to perform the proceedure the doctor had to use surgical scissors and cut that piece of skin. And he did so good. He's a strong little man. Thanks for all your prayers

Please continue to pray that he would be alert enough for feedings and that his little body would grow big and strong. Blessings ~
