Benjamin really is a super sweet baby. He loves to be cuddled and only cries when he needs/ wants something. He loves just to be with you!

We went to Ben's 2 week appointment today, and he is doing wonderful!

For you number people, I am a number people :)

At 2 weeks Jadon was 7 pounds 3 ounces 19 3/4 inches

At 2 weeks Ben is 8 pounds 20 inches

I think the eldest is always the smaller, payback I guess!

It looks like this apple won't fall to far from his tree. This morning Jadon put on daddy's running gloves and a beannie and started running sprints in the living room.

Our sweet little angel is doing so well. He crashed in Jadon's old sesame street chair while we ate dinner tonight.

An Afternoon In the Backyard

With such warm weather and a sunny day, we were able to get out into the backyard and have some outside fun.

Benjamin Andrew!!!!

I included this one because you can see these adorable dimples he has on both sides of his upper cheecks. He has them when he smiles or cries. I haven't caught a smile one yet!

Can you believe it?? Benjamin Andrew has arrived! I woke up to a slight pain in my stomach at about 3:30 am on Friday morning, woke up David at 3:40am, called my mom at 4:00am to come over to watch Jadon, got to the hospital at 5:00am, Ben was born at 5:45am. Is that not crazy? One nurse commented, it was a good thing you made it... yes, I agree! It worked out great because we only had to spend one night in the hospital and came home at about noon on Saturday!

Ben has been wonderful! He is incredibly cute and incredibly sweet! We all feel great! We feel like he has been with us for weeks, not days! He is already on a great schedule... praise the Lord!! He doesn't really have his days and nights mixed up too much. So I pretty much have the same schedule as before except I go to bed a little earlier, get up a little later, and get up a few time in between. It is a night and day difference between Jadon's newborn days and Ben's'! It really is wonderful!

Jadon is adapting perfectly. He has just enough love and interest in Ben to want to hug and kiss him a few times a day, asks for him, wakes up calling for him, walks by gently rubs his head etc. But enough interest in his own stuff and doing his own thing that he doesn't have to be reminded to be gentle or babies can't drink juice boxes etc too much. I've only had to save Ben from a juice box, string cheese, and a stuffed animal. He hasn't been jealous when we hold Ben, I've only had him want to hold Ben instead of us hold Ben. He's been wonderful!

Update!

Sorry it has been so long since I posted an update! I haven't been taking much pictures for some reason! Well for those who don't know our new baby, Benjamin Andrew (after David's brother, the Andrew part), due date is January 30th. But as some may remember Jadon was born 2 1/2 weeks before his due date, and it looks like Ben will be early as well! We went to the Doctor yesterday and he said it could be any day and he didn't think we would make it to our next appt. Monday! Wow! It is a strange feeling knowing that it could be any day! We will keep you updated!! I'll try to post of picture of Ben's room before he's born!

Meet Flicka

I know... the child may be spoiled. How many children shy of 2 years old get a pony for Christmas? My dad lives in the country, it's different, it's not as bad as it sounds. I hope... This is Flicka, Jadon's pony. Jadon LOVES her. He loves to ride her. Feed her. Brush her. Lead her around. Imitate her! She is a very cute, sweet pony. My dad said she is a actually a cross between pony and miniature horse. She is really small! We have finally got him to stop saying his new brother's name is Flicka!

Christmas

Sweetest cutest thing in the whole world!

Here are some pictures from Christmas! Jadon had lots of fun. He had about a million presents to open, seriously. I am still trying to find "homes" for them all. David said he could put them all on ropes and at the end of the day the ropes would retract and all the toys would be put back in order, I'm down. His favorite things to do (as pictured above) was to throw the wrapping paper, basketball style, into the trash bag. The gift he is opening during these pictures is a basketball hoop. Appropriate gift? He always loved the gift he opened so much, he didn't want to open anymore, but play with the one he had just opened! Ahh contentment!
