Update!

Sorry it has been so long since I posted an update! I haven't been taking much pictures for some reason! Well for those who don't know our new baby, Benjamin Andrew (after David's brother, the Andrew part), due date is January 30th. But as some may remember Jadon was born 2 1/2 weeks before his due date, and it looks like Ben will be early as well! We went to the Doctor yesterday and he said it could be any day and he didn't think we would make it to our next appt. Monday! Wow! It is a strange feeling knowing that it could be any day! We will keep you updated!! I'll try to post of picture of Ben's room before he's born!

Meet Flicka

I know... the child may be spoiled. How many children shy of 2 years old get a pony for Christmas? My dad lives in the country, it's different, it's not as bad as it sounds. I hope... This is Flicka, Jadon's pony. Jadon LOVES her. He loves to ride her. Feed her. Brush her. Lead her around. Imitate her! She is a very cute, sweet pony. My dad said she is a actually a cross between pony and miniature horse. She is really small! We have finally got him to stop saying his new brother's name is Flicka!

Christmas

Sweetest cutest thing in the whole world!

Here are some pictures from Christmas! Jadon had lots of fun. He had about a million presents to open, seriously. I am still trying to find "homes" for them all. David said he could put them all on ropes and at the end of the day the ropes would retract and all the toys would be put back in order, I'm down. His favorite things to do (as pictured above) was to throw the wrapping paper, basketball style, into the trash bag. The gift he is opening during these pictures is a basketball hoop. Appropriate gift? He always loved the gift he opened so much, he didn't want to open anymore, but play with the one he had just opened! Ahh contentment!

Hee Haw

Jadon had the TIME of his LIFE, at this years' Harvest Party our church puts on.  It was so cool, they had a whole section for toddlers.   So fun!  They had a miniature bounce house with balls, a jumping thing, little tent things to crawl into, and a miniature jumping bounce house thing.  Jadon played continually without tiring!!  And they had a ton of stuff for bigger kids.  These pictures should be in the opposite order, but right now, nearly impossible to change...  The Harvest Party theme was Western, so Jadon dressed like a cowboy, of course the sinka-roo would not let me get a good picture in his hat!

Cookie Cutters

This is our attempt to make cookie cutter cookies with Jadon.  He thought the flour was cool and smashing the dough was fun!  The only problem we ran into was, I didn't check if we had any red food coloring to dye the frosting.  I have all the other primary colors, but no red.  So I added yellow and we read online for any red dye substitutes, we read pomegranate juice would work... and we had some.  Take my word, it does not work!  It just makes it a watery brownish color!  We were going to give the cookies away, but after the frosting incident...  later I thought, I just should have added cocoa and had "chocolate pumpkins".

We took Jadon to a corn maze, petting zoo, & pumpkin patch etc. He had a great time! He loves all the animals. He cried when we told him he could not kiss the animals!

Chef Jadon

Jadon is so much fun! He is getting to be such a good helper. Jadon recently helped me make cookies for his papa (my dad). My dad he diabetes so we make him "special" Splenda cookies. Jadon really enjoyed helping. Mostly he liked eating the chocolate chips, the mixer, and eating the chocolate chips! He is the sweetest boy!!! The recipe I use for my dad's cookies I realized doesn't have eggs, so you can let the kids eat the dough. There are not "Splenda cookies" we just replace most of the sugar with Splenda. So if you want to make cookies with you little ones and don't want to worry about giving them salmonella poisoning, try these!

These are really great if you have a problem with cookies getting to thin when you cook them. These stay very thick.

Jadon turns 1 1/2!!

Well our sweet little baby has turned a year and a half!  On October 9th Jadon turned a year and a half.  He is so old... so big...  We just got him new shoes for the fall and winter and they are huge, they are not baby shoes at all, they are at least like 5 or 6 inches long.  And I really probably I should have went with the next size up.   Well the day Jadon turned a year and a half, David happened to have the whole day off... which is always very fun!   So in honor of daddy's day off and Jadon getting older we had a fun morning relaxing at home, and then went to a park, and even made chocolate chip pancakes for dessert!  Here are some pictures of the park and daddy and Jadon doing the dishes for mommy!

Jadon's first breakfast burrito

May sound trivial to some, but this is a momentous occasion in our home.  Breakfast Burritos are one of David's favorite foods and specialties!  Recently he has learned how to make hash browns, to add to the breakfast burritos... yum!
