Food... Finally!

Well this is a huge improvement. At our 6 month appointment Jadon's doctor gave the go ahead for starting solid foods, unfortunately at this time Jadon decided that he abhorred (no exaggeration!) food, all food. I tried oatmeal cereal, bananas, applesauce, peaches, peas, carrots, mashed potatoes. Every time I would offer him a bite of anything he would look at me as if I was trying to poison him, then refuse, turn his head, close him mouth and would not let anything near. And apparently I developed a similar problem as a baby and my grandma gave me cornstarch pudding and I started eating again. Well grandma made cornstarch pudding for Jadon and low and behold he gobbled it down! And now he LOVES food, all food. And, is willing to try anything!

Our Little Pumkin

It's our little pumkin's first experience getting to see a pumkin. It's so nice we're able to walk down the street to this brand new Raley's they've put in around the corner from our house. Last night we all went out on a walk to pick up a couple of pumpkins. And Jadon seems to love them.

Cowboy Jadon

Here's a picture of Jadon at this year's annual Chili Cook-off. Everyone is supposed to come in western wear. We were going for the "cowboy look" but the hat gave us more of a railroad look! That's western, right! But oh how handsome!!!

I love to help my mamma

Jadon is such a good boy (most of the time!) while mamma cleans the house. He likes to play with his toys in the high chair while mamma pulls him around the house as she cleans. He likes it even better when he only has to wear his diaper!

Jadon's Learning to Sit Up

Jadon's learning to sit up all by himself now. It seems every day he's getting better and better at it. Though the moment he sees something out of reach, he just crumbles towards it. Or if he gets tired of sitting up, he just wobbles down like an amoeba.

While Daddy Was In Tokyo

While David was in Tokyo, Japan on a mission trip with some of the kids from the church, Jadon and Mommy went down to visit Gramma and Grandpa in Redlands.

Jadon has begun to bat at objects. He starting to realize that he can use his hands!

Do we see a duet in their future?

What a pair! Isn't this an amazing smile Jadon is showing! You can really get a glimpse of what Jadon's smile will look like as he gets older. Can it be any cuter? "I submit that is cannot!" Jadon just loves watching his daddy play guitar. He is unable to do anything else but watch his dad! And his dad just loves every minute!
